Hi Guys! You all know I LOVE Fall. It's the perfect time of year but here in the South; Fall doesn't really bring the cooler weather until late October or early November if we're lucky. So I'm excited to partner with Pink Blush to bring you this cute Fall number and guest what Mamas...it's a double duty kind of dress! It can be used after you deliver your little one!

If you feel a little self conscious and we sometimes do - pair it with a vest. I pulled out an old vest to give this dress an added touch of Fall Color! I also added boots but it pairs well with flats too for a day at the office.

I have lots of room in the belly are as my stomach continues to grow and it will work wonders as it’s loose enough not to be bothersome after giving birth! It’s perfect for nursing! I tested it! You can pull out comfortably without having to remove the entire top. The band that hones the middle gives support as well for an easy transition.

Rust Draped Front Plus Maternity/Nursing Dress

Colors: Rust, Black, and Red

Sizes: 1X, 2X, 3X

What I LOVE about this dress:

It compliments my skin tone very well and it hides any bumps and lumps you may have. I love the twisted top, so if you're heavy chested you get some support. It was also made this way to provide you with the ability to nurse and more importantly this is something I would wear if I wasn't pregnant! This dress is also true to size. I'm wearing a size 1X.

Style Tip:

If you’re tall you may feel this dress is on the shorter side. I'm 5'6 and the length is perfect for me. I would also recommend paring it with some leggings because it’s too cute to pass up!

Bonus Style: If you’re like me, you’re probably on the hunt for a baby shower dress as well, look no further Pink Blush has you covered in that department as well.

Book Review: Girl, wash your face!

DSC_5499.jpg

Girl, wash your face! If the title doesn’t intrigue you I don’t know what will. I am not as much of an avid reader like I used to be. However, I do enjoy reading from time to time.

I had never heard of this book before but a woman I know kept posting quotes from it and it kept doing something to my spirit then I knew I had to read it!

In this book, Rachel Hollis shares with us how she is going on about her life even after things have happened to her. She isn’t perfect and has made mistakes but she has chosen to keep going. I know many of us can relate.

While reading this book it caused me to take a deeper look at myself. Like wth am I doing with my life? I cannot throw myself a pity party. Life is too short and I have to boss up. Is it possible that if I change the way I think and the way I speak to myself then things could change? Possibly!

What are you doing to speak positivity into your life?

It's A...Baby

It's a BOY!!!!!!!

Yep a stinking boy but I'm happy, dad’s happy, even the girls are happy. This is my first boy and I knew it was. Everything about this pregnancy has felt so DIFFERENT!

With this baby, I truly didn't know I was pregnant. I felt weird all the time. Extremely moody. Very nauseated and on the verge of passing out but I thought nothing of it...until I was borderline forced into taking a test. Read more about that here.

We discovered this news in a very bittersweet way. I had a mild bleed and cramping episode after my little Target run and I called my doctors office. They saw me the following morning and as the ultrasound tech was doing my scan my little man wanted to do a roll with his legs open and BOOM! The tech was like do you want to know what you're having. I laughed and said "Even if I didn't I think I know now." We laughed and she agreed that's definitely a boy!

Life for us has been a little scary after receiving our placenta previa diagnosis. Nonetheless, we are doing well! Fingers crossed the placenta moves!

Nevertheless, all is well in my soul!

I wasn’t really sure how I wanted to tell the girls so I went to Pinterest!

2. Fill your water guns with paint and water mix. 2/3 paint and 1/3 water. (make sure the kids aren't around when you do this.

3. Shake up your water gun. Test it out in the sink to make sure it's the color you want.

Saved by Grace

"Here I am, God arms wide open. Pouring out my life gracefully broken."

Tasha Cobbs

I grew up in a VERY religious home. My mother is of the apostolic faith and my father is Baptist. I went to church multiple times a week. I knew all of the books of the Bible – backward and forwards. I primarily attended church with my mother because that’s how things were. So naturally, her faith became mine.

I, however, was not the perfect Christian/Holiness girl. I didn’t believe that my head always had to be covered or that I needed to wear dresses to my ankles. That was just not me. I always searched for my true self. I wear earrings, pants, and makeup - I don't believe that defines my faith. I don't believe that I am now somehow unloved by God.

Religion was scary and for most people it still is. Christianity, in particular, seems to be set rules that you have to follow and if you don’t you’re doomed to hell. Despite my thoughts and feelings on this, I know that God is real.

I’ve been SAVED BY GRACE!

Grace in the Christian faith is the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

There have been times in my life where I know it was no one other than God that brought me through. I believe in the power of prayer. I believe that He is real no matter what anyone says.

When I heard this song by Tasha Cobbs all I could do was weep. My heart so full. There will come a time in your life when you don’t know where to turn. You feel so alone and you have no choice but to seek something higher than yourself. God has kept me. He’s loved me more than I’ve loved myself. His grace has protected me over and over again.

If you only knew my story, I should be dead…but I’m NOT and for that reason alone I will forever be grateful.
