In the last 5 years, we all learned a thing or two about working from home, and you either love it or hate it. I enjoy it, but I know that others may not, and the best way to get comfortable with working from home is to create a space that you LOVE. If you're looking to make your WFH setup more comfortable and productive, here are a few essentials from Amazon that I highly recommend:

1. A comfortable chair

You're going to be spending a lot of time sitting in your chair, so it's important to find one that's comfortable and supportive. As a person who suffers from spinal issues, it’s important that I have a firm yet flexible chair. 2. A good desk

Your desk is another important piece of furniture for your work from home setup. It should be the right height and size for you, and it should have plenty of space for your computer, monitor, and other essentials. The Flexispot desk comes highly recommended; it’s a standing desk with customizable options., but there are plenty of other great options available.

Some prefer a standing desk compared to a traditional one, while others aren’t ready to commit and want a converter option. I use both and enjoy my converter option when working from the office. I have the VERSADESK® PowerRiser 40 Inch Electric Standing Desk Converter for Dual Monitor, Ameriwood Home Owen Retro Computer Desk for a simple setup with the computer only, and my current home setup uses a Marble L-shape desk.


3. A noise-canceling headset

If you live in a noisy environment, a noise-canceling headset is a must-have. It will help you block out distractions and focus on your work. I recommend the Bose QuietComfort  Headphones or the Microsoft LifeChat 3000 for occasional use and meetings.


4. A webcam

If you video conference with colleagues or clients, a webcam is essential. I recommend the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam. It’s plug and play with options to customize. 


5. A good lighting setup

Good lighting is important for both your productivity and your eye health. I recommend the Elgato Key Light Air, Logitech Litra Beam Premium LED Streaming Key Light or Quntis Computer Lamp but there are plenty of other great options available to fit your needs.


7. A cable management system

A cable management system will help you keep your cables organized and out of the way. I recommend this under the desk box system, that doesn’t require drilling and fits to your desk; it’s simple and effective. However, if you need something more advanced, you should consider the N NOROCME Cord Management Organizer Kit in addition to the box system. 

8. A surge protector

A surge protector will help protect your expensive electronics from damage caused by power surges. I recommend the Belkin SurgeCube Surge Protector It has a compact design that will allow several connection types. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year, plus it’s the season for new beginnings, and that includes updating your wardrobe with fresh footwear. I have been obsessed with sneakers lately, and I want to share a few of my top picks for the season. Sneakers are the must-have shoe for women, offering both style and comfort. 

Here are some of the most popular sneaker trends for spring:

1. Chunky Sneakers:

  • Chunky sneakers have been a popular trend for a few seasons now, and they're still going strong for spring. These sneakers are characterized by their thick soles and exaggerated silhouettes – think “Dad Shoes.” They're a great way to add a touch of streetwear edge to your look. While I haven’t given into this trend, I’ve seen several styles that I'm interested in trying.

Several brands have made these styles staples for many, New Balance is a top contender for their popular styles: New Balance 530, New Balance 9060, and New Balance 990v6.

Nike also has several chunky styles to match your look: Nike Zoom Vomero 5, Nike Air Monarch IV, and Nike M2K Tekno.

2. Pastel Sneakers:

  • Pastel sneakers are a great way to add a pop of color to your spring wardrobe. These sneakers come in a variety of shades, from soft pink and blue to bright yellow and green. They're perfect for pairing with sundresses and skirts.

Adidas has come out with a variety of vision court sneakers in beautiful colors: yellow/mustard, hot pink, and aqua.

Puma Carina Street Platform Sneakers are super cute and incredibly comfortable. I own several pairs and I can walk in them all day. Colors: Baby Blue/White, Lavender/White, and Pink/White/Blue.

  • Slip-on sneakers are a great option for women who are on the go. These sneakers are easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. They're perfect for running errands, going to the gym, or just hanging out with friends.

My favorites are the  Vans Asher Deluxe Slip-On (available in Pink, Black and White/Leopard and Off White/Black Cheetah.) New Balance Dynasoft Nergize Sport V2 and the Ryka Echo Sky Sneaker.

5. Retro Sneakers:

  • Retro sneakers are a great way to add a touch of nostalgia to your look. These sneakers are inspired by classic styles from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. They're perfect for pairing with vintage clothing or modern streetwear. Growing up in the 90’s we loved a pair of Classic Leather Low Top Reeboks, Air Jordan V and New Balance 5.

Today, when I think of retro sneakers, I’m reaching for a pair of  Air Force 1, Adidas Samba, or Old Skool Vans.
