Product Review: cbdMD

As a new mom, for the third time, I’m trying to balance all the things. I was so excited to hear about the cbdMD partnering with Moms Meet. I’ve been wanting to try CBD oil for a while but I was nervous. I’m sure you had all of the same questions that I had. So I’m going to give you a quick breakdown and understanding in case you’re curious about trying these amazing products.

What is CBD oil?

According to cmbMD; Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is by far one of the most studied compounds of the 116-plus known cannabinoids found in industrial hemp.

Being a natural compound of the plant, it can comprise up to 40 percent of hemp. Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating, which means it will not get you high.

How to use it?

It’s completely up to you how you choose to use your oil. It can be ingested, applied to skin or taken in capsule form. I took the oil orally by placing it underneath my tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing.

My Thoughts

In all honesty, I didn’t know what to expect. I heard a lot great things about CBD oil in general but I wasn’t sure what type of affect it would have on me personally. I tend to be an anxious person and I’ve been off my anxiety medication since my pregnancy. I’ve also stopped breastfeeding and have been deciding whether or not I should get back on it. The CBD oil is known to be an alternative so I was happy to try it. Within the first week I really didn’t notice a difference in the way I felt. By week 2, I did see that I was more relaxed and didn’t wake up the jitters. It also allowed me to cut back on my caffeine. Now, results will vary from person to person.

The PM version was amazing. I did receive the best results once I was relaxed for the night. After I put my children down for bed and I showered and took some within 30 minutes I was extremely relaxed and didn’t have a hard time going to sleep.

The bath bombs were so good! There is no other way to describe them. I’m not really a sit and soak person because, #momlife but this made me be intentional with enjoying a nice hot bath. There were oils inside and they made my skin very happy!

Mom Style with Pink Blush

As a working mom of 3, LIFE keeps me busy and to be honest I don’t always have time to style myself. So I like finding pieces that can take me from day to night or work to chill! Pixi Beauty Makeup Box

A few weeks ago, I received the surprise of a life time; a beauty box from Pixi! I haven’t used their products in years but really wanted to try something new. I’ve been on a “use what you have” kick lately so that I can see what really works for me.

The Perfect Red Dress

The holiday season is quickly approaching and every woman needs a red dress. It’s almost like a power suit but for a different occasion.

Red looks beautiful on me but I tend to not wear it as much. I prefer neutrals so here’s to stepping outside of my comfort zone and going red for the holidays! This dress fit me beautifully. I love the way it flatters my new postpartum body while still allowing me to feel sexy!

This dress was gifted to me by PinkBlush and it did not disappoint! I love that they offer great transitional pieces. A lot of my maternity clothing that I have from them I am still able to wear after having Clayton and the best part is I can still nurse in them. It’s a win-win in my book.

Red Chiffon Long Sleeve Pleated Plus Maxi Dress

Colors: Red and Royal Blue

Sizes: 1X-3X

I’m wearing a 1X and I could have done a straight size L but I like to be safe than sorry. Reading their size charts are very helpful.

The red is vibrant and it will turn heads! Its light weight and easy to take on and off. You WILL need to steam this dress. I allowed mine to hang in the bathroom over night to avoid pressing the dress. It worked, so if you don’t need to wear the dress immediately that’s a great option. The dress is low cut so if you’re uncomfortable with that you can always pin it or sew it up a bit. I used a little piece of double sided tape and it worked beautifully without harming the dress. I’m 5’6 and the dress is a little long but that’s what I loved most about it. I truly felt like a goddess when the dress floated behind me.

Overall, this dress is stunning! It’s perfect for a holiday party or a night out on the town and if you’re worried about length it will be easy to alter the bottom.
